Part of becoming a great dreamer is to be comfortable with change. In this wonderful book author Zeppa, a young woman who had never traveled outside her native Canada, chronicles her journey accepting a rare (22 people a year for the whole country) teaching job in remote Bhutan. Absolutely fearlessly she writes all her feelings of difference – the outer criticisms against anything new, and her inner criticisms at her inabilities to flourish there. In fact, she not only learns how to flourish, she shows how accepting change and flowing with it brings us to the most fascinating places within ourselves. In addition, reaching outside of our own self-imposed limits, and the limits we put on others, brings us to being able to experience love. Finally, as if these aren’t inspiration enough, Zeppa is on a spiritual journey discovering Buddhism, and her meeting this place and descriptions of it are so beautiful it’s a joy to read.
